Wayob is based on the Mayan legend that a human can transform into a supernatural being / animal while asleep or in a hallucinatory trance. This powerful woman in her altered state of mind, has become her Wayob - a jaguar - ready to sneak quietly around her enemies, and show her true power.

To celebrate a decade of Tara McPherson’s Wayob painting, we’re proud to present this 2nd archival print edition for our collectors. This painting was originally created for an 1800 Tequila art series campaign in 2012, and the original oil painting exhibited at KP Projects in Los Angeles, CA. 1st Edition 2014.
