Michael Koehler : Refresh Ritual
Opening Event: March 7th, 6 - 8 PM
The Cotton Candy Machine is excited to host Refresh Ritual, a weekend pop-up art show featuring the striking work of Michael Koehler, running from March 7th through the weekend at our Mt. Lebanon boutique. Join us for the opening event on March 7th from 6 to 8 PM for a chance to view and purchase his original acrylic paintings and limited edition prints.
Koehler’s work serves as a conduit between the natural and mechanical worlds, capturing the delicate balance of humanity teetering between these two realms. His vibrant, meticulously crafted portraits of surreal human and animal subjects are intricately composed from a dynamic blend of wires, tubes, plants, and flowers — elements that create a rich tapestry of contrast and harmony. In Koehler’s alternate reality, the natural and the unnatural coexist and grow together, forming a world where the boundaries of the organic and the mechanical are beautifully intertwined.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA, in 1983, Koehler has exhibited his work in galleries across the country, including Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Portland, San Francisco, and Seattle. His work has also been featured in Hi-Fructose Magazine. With each piece, Koehler invites viewers into a world of vibrant color, form, and tension between creation and destruction.
The opening event will feature the opportunity to view and purchase original works and limited edition prints. Don't miss out on this unique experience to engage with the artist and immerse yourself in his world of captivating visual storytelling.
